Billy's Visit and Birthday..

Billy was up for Pioneer Day and his birthday. We loved his visit, and was so happy we could visit with him for a while. I am so blessed to have such wonderful step children. I couldn't have chosen a better man, with better children.

Billy came up for this Birthday and for Pioneer Day. We drove to Vernal to see the temple and the dinosaur museum on Friday July 24, 2009 for Pioneer Day. The drive was long, but well worth the wait. The temple is soooo beautiful, of course it was closed due to it being Pioneer Day. This is the temple they converted from a tabernacle. Brother White was telling us that when they had the dedication, a woman spoke of her grandfather, who had passed away. In his patriarchal blessing it stated he would help build a temple to the Lord. He helped build the tabernacle, but he died before it became a temple. The patriarchal blessings we received are so dear to us, how they help to prepare us for our work here on earth, and beyond the grave. Heavenly Father has so blessed us with so much..


Below is Lani and Billy in front of the "Daughters of Utah Pioneers" museum. We saw so many interesting things inside, including a small little girl, around 3 years old, with bouncy blond locks of hair. Her family was all dressed up for Pioneer Days, and she was sooo cute. She stopped behind her family and sat on the floor to look at her foot, and for a moment she could have been part of the exhibit.

We went inside the Dinosaur Museum in Vernal. They have some really neat artifacts. Vernal is in the middle of probably the most rich supple of dinosaur bones and artifacts. They say 90 miles in every direction has beds and beds of ancient fossils. I love the dinosaurs bones, especially that bit foot. Look below you will see it..
