Robin and Arizona Trip

I took Robin to Arizona to visit her grandparents, great-grandparents, and great-great grandparents graves. We left Vegas drove through Northern Arizona, down to Globe-Miami from Payson, down to Pima-Safford area, to Wilcox and then back again. We visited the Indian Ruins in Globe, and ate real Globe Mexican Food, which I miss so much. Visited with Uncle Jack and Evelyn, and my old high school girlfriend, Terri, in Ft. Thomas, AZ. We saw the new temple being built in the Gila Valley, they already have Moroni on top. It was so nice to spend time with my lovely daughter and to give her some insight into the family. We even found at the Mexican Restaurant, The Globe Libby's El Rey, a story of when Pearl Hart, the only female sent to prison for Stage Coach robbery, on the menu. I asked for an extra menu, as it was my great-grandfather, Clifford Farrington, who was the actual driver of the stage coach. He told his youngest daughter, my great-aunt who lives in Murray Utah, that when she said, "Raise for the Star", he said I tried to reach every star in the sky, as she has a gun pointed right at me. He was very young at the time..I was told he was only 17 years old.

Roosevelt Lake AZ.. The water is soooo blue... I have swam this lake several times as a teenager.. fun fun fun, except that time the rattle snake came swimming towards me.. EWWWWW
Below is Robin's Grandfather on her Dad's side, Grant Dee Mullins, his wife Nadine is laid to rest next to him, but her son hasn't bought her a headstone yet. Grant, my son is as big as his grandfather, both 6'6" tall... So guess he lives up to his name..
Below is my grandparents, on my Mom's side. William Zufelt and Eva Mae (Dutch) Farrington-Zufelt.
Below are my great-grandparents on my Mom's side, this is the great-grandfather who was the stage coach driver. Clifford Farrington and his wife Ida Dove Stinson-Farrington.
Below is my great-grandfather on my grandfather's side, Isaac Zufelt and Lydia Bryant-Zufelt. Isaac's ancestors came over on the mayflower...Above is the pine tree facing my Mom and Dad's grave site in Miami Arizona. Below is their marker, we went back right before we left and cleaned out some of the weeds. When they were buried there the cemetary was well kept, but sadly it is no longer well kept, and we are not close enough to keep it up right. Robin bought these flowers for her grandma and grandpa.

Below is my mother's marker, Ruth Zufelt Alsbrooks. Robin was very close to my mother. Mama died in 2000, when Jami was pregnant with Amity. I know my Mom was there to tell Amity goodbye and see her off to her trip here on earth.
My Dad's marker, his full name is Oris Edward, but he went by Edward so that is the name on the marker. He died in 1989. Robin remembers her grandfather, but she was only 8 when he passed.
Robin at Mary's Lake outside Flagstaff, we decided to drive the northern route due to the heat. What a beautiful drive it was.

Above and below are the progress on the bridge across Boulder Dam. It is going slow, as it was to be finished in 2008, but what a giganic project. We saw some Mountain Sheep while driving to the dam, but the morning sun was in the way and I couldn't get a good picture.
