An Evening Walk

Lani and I took a walk last night in our neighborhood, and look what we saw!  First we saw this antelope lounging in the field all by himself.  The antelope love these fields, which are owned by the church for a welfare farm.  I was surprised to see this guy all by himself, there are usually 15 to 40 in the herd.  Was nice to get this picture of him....            Next we took the trail to the Jordan river.  There were fisherman there and one had a pretty impressive string of fish.  This is where the river comes out of Utah Lake and then the river goes northbound to the Great Salt Lake.  This is the only other place on the planet where a river runs northbound from a fresh body of water, Utah Lake to a Salt body of water, Great Salt Lake.  The other place is where the other River Jordan runs northbound from the fresh water Sea of Galilee, into the Dead Sea.  Yes the holy land....   Now do you think Brigham Young new this when he said, "This is the Place!"?        This is the bridge we walked over the Jordan River...   And below is Utah Lake, this picture was taken a block from our house.  I love this area, and I feel so blessed Heavenly Father has created this beautiful place for us all to live!
