Kenai Fjords National Park

        We started our day in Seward at the local Hardware store (this musk ox was mounted on the wall) to buy some rain ponchos, as it was raining.  The clouds were low and I was a little disappointed as when it is clear this is one of the most beautiful places in Alaska, but Lani did not see it all day due to the low clouds.  But we were excited to be there and happy to see the glacier and wildlife.  We saw several sea birds including the Puffin, although my pictures of the puffins didn't turn out... darn.. but the  preceding pictures are of the cute little Dall Porpoises we saw, so cute, they played with the boat for a while swimming along with us.   As you can see in the picture above, the porpoises are black and white... and so playful.. below are some harbor seals... they are also so cute...     Can you see him laying in the sun here?   The seals scare very easy, so we were as quiet as possible...   Here we are getting close to Exit Glacier... the closer we get the more ice and ice bergs you see...       It was raining, so you can see the rain drops on my lens, but isn't it absolutely beautiful!  And as we floated there, we could hear the glacier crack and move... We even saw some calfing as the ice fell in the ocean     Here are some sea lions sitting out on the rocks.. they just ignored us...       We ate dinner at Fox Island, and you could see this cute little lake from the deck... Below is the little cruise ship we rode in to see the beauty of this National Park.  We shared a table with a cute couple from Australia who were loving every bit of their visit to Alaska. This is the deck where we ate dinner on Fox Island... So so beautiful.

  The shore of Fox Island... It never cleared up all day, and we didn't see a whale, but it was a nice trip to see this side of the Kenai Peninsula...
